Key Languages News6th Anniversary Key Languages was opened 6 years ago to bring the concepts of multilingualism and multiculturalism to real life. May 15 marked one more year of many accomplishments of students, teachers and translators. We are ready for one more year of hard and rewarding work. Professional development Cassia Silva attended the National TESOL Convention in March and the Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages in April. Mary Radzville and Mary Ellen Hughes attended the Sunshine State TESOL Convention also in April to know what is new in the field of language teaching. Teachers’ breakfast After the conferences all teachers were invited to attend informative breakfasts. Such meetings allow all of us to be better teachers or, as one presenter said in the National TESOL Conference, facilitators for the acquisition of a new language. Away but close We already miss our winter students and hope that they don’t forget even the smallest part of what we studied together.
